When I opened Coco Rose Design in Santa Barbara, I knew I wanted to be a flexible and open-minded event designer--one with an eye for trends in floral design, but also an ear for understanding what clients and couples envision for their special day. It’s been the heart of my floral design business ever since. No wedding or event is too small—or beginning concept too original—for me to take on.
I’ve loved spending the last six years as a wedding florist, sitting down with clients to talk about their big-picture ideas—no matter how fuzzy they are to start with—and then guiding them toward designs that communicate exactly what they want their event or wedding to be. Often, with the right flowers, everything comes into focus.
Growing up, my parents owned a flower farm in Hilo, Hawaii, called Anuenue Farms, where they cultivated bird-of-paradise and anthuriums. My love of nature began there. Now, I make it a priority to be an environmentally conscious wedding florist, too. I use organic, locally sourced products in my arrangements, and, whenever possible, choose recycled containers—which are eco-friendly and add character.
We're based in sunny Santa Barbara but available (and excited!) for travel worldwide.
